Fellow CSY owners and aficionados: “The time has come. After 26 years of successful ownership, we are searching for a discriminating buyer for our cruising sailboat. This well-designed, strongly-built, versatile blue-water cruising boat is ready to go. Note that SIESTA is not a “project” boat. This  vessel has been professionally maintained. It has received many upgrades to make it an even safer, easier-to-operate, more comfortable cruising platform. With a single mast and three roller-furling sails, its versatile cutter sail plan offers safety, flexibility and ease of operation, all from inside the center cockpit. Note the date of the upgrades for much of its new, state-of-the-art equipment. And yet, the platform is a very well-built hull and deck that will perform well for many years to come. SIESTA will continue to maintain its value. A comparable boat, of the same rugged construction and quality, properly equipped, costs hundreds of thousand of dollars more. The CSY brand is sought after by knowledgeable, discriminating cruisers all over the world. I am sure you will check out the CSY brand and compare CSY boats with others of the same class. Your research will confirm what we are saying here: this boat is a rare find.”

Hello to all,
New to the forums, have lurked for a while.
I have had a crush on CSYs since I first saw one many years ago. I have been looking for a 37A, but decided to move up to a 44 WT.

Does anyone know if Ed has sold Siesta?
I tried reaching out to him, but have not received a response....though not surprising, if I lived in the Keys with a sailboat I might not be too available either.

Hi Jason, welcome to the CSY Owners forum.  We've been cruising so I haven't had a chance to look through the forum for a few weeks.

As far as I know, Ed did sell Siesta.  We owned our CSY 44 WT for 20 years and sailed her halfway around the world.  Soggy Paws was a great boat that would take anything the sea threw at us.  I highly recommend them as rugged cruising boats.  The only reason we sold her was because we got the catamaran bug.

If you do FB, there is also a CSY Owners FB group, and there's a little more action there than here.  (but this is a better place for historical answers to questions from owners over the years).

Hope you find your dream boat.

Sherry
