New Yanmar 4JH80 in my CSY WO
« on: January 28, 2017, 05:04:37 PM »
I just installed a new Yanmar in my CSY. The work was done by Joel Stuart of Stuart Marine in Jacksonville FL. He did a BEAUTIFUL job.

The old engine locked up because the water mixing elbow got a hole in the inner liner and was splashing water back onto the last cylinder. It did not hydrolock but got surface rust that stopped the engine from turning.

Took the boat out the other day and did 8+ knots! We actually passed another boat!
I tried having a bad day once but I did not like it

Peter,

Sorry to hear about your engine, but 8 knots!!!  Wow!!

Hope you are enjoying the new one!

Mind sharing ballpark numbers for the repower job?
