Used fuel tanks
« on: June 20, 2016, 01:39:44 PM »
Hello All,

I have the old fuel tanks from my 44 walkover. They are not perfect but they are free to who ever would want them. Cleaning out storage garage and will have to scrap them if no one is interested.

Thanks,

Hi,
How did you get the fuel tanks out?

Dynamite!!! No not really. I had removed the engine prior to the tanks, which made it a piece of cake. Also the entire engine room had been stripped of all equipment, wiring, etc. as well. I really do not know if they would come out with the engine in place. I guess I was lucking in that case.

I had new tanks made as mine had bad pitting and corrosion on the bulkhead side. The original company that made them for CSY is still in business. I called them and they had the exact drawings and made two perfect replacements.

The new tanks are in and waiting for the engine.
