Galley port
« on: June 10, 2014, 11:07:56 AM »
We have the large opening Beckson port in our galley on our 44' WO.

We like it fine but the lens hinge is broken and the screen is gone.

Does anyone know if we can replace it with a new port just like it?  If so, source?

Thanks!

I replaced the galley port on our '77 WO with a Gray Enterprises 818 port.
Gray was acquired by Pompanette in FL. <www.pompanette.com>

Pompanette also owns Bomar.

It was purchased thru Sailboatowners.com. 887-932-7245, and shipped from the factory.

New Found Metals an American repped Chinese foundry does a very nice bronze port that fits with very minor modifications in the corners. I went through 3 of the plastic ports before buying the new found metals version. Benn in 7 years and no problems. comes with a screen that is a little Rube Goldberg in fitting but works.
