Repository of all things CSY - Dropbox

Gang - we have been trying out a repository of all the documents for CSY that are in each one of our hands. The service is called Dropbox. It looks like a folder on your desktop that you can drop things in or retrieve documents from. The trick is the folder is on everyone's desktop at the same time.

We have loaded this with a number of documents so you can get the idea of what can be included. The service is free up to a total number of max memory. The nice thing is we get additional space for everyone that installs dropbox on their machine (you must install it and not just accept the invitation we send). I can see this being a place where we can share a limited number of pictures or some higher quality pictures associated with a post you are making.

The service is an invitation only service and if you private message me with your email address I will see that you get an invitation so you can see what we are talking about. There is a read me file in the dropbox that talks about how to use this for the CSY information. Please read it before you start using the service.

Finally, this in no way replaces the CD that has been rumored to be in production. I believe Steve has a LOT of information on the CSY so the CD will likely be a good investment.

I've just added a copy of the book: CSY Guide to Buying a Yacht" by John R. Van Ost to the Dropbox new additions folder. I have heard of another edition that includes the walkthrough model which this one does not. Hope you enjoy.

I asked for and received an invite to the drop box but I havent a clue on how to access it, Ive even dwnld the dropbox to my comp but still have no info on how to access the csy dropbox.
