« on: February 27, 2014, 04:45:44 pm »
Dave;
the big windows in the Walk thru main cabin, what did you do and use when you up-graded them, mine are so crazed that you can't see out of them much anymore.  this is another thing I want to fix this summer when it's in the yard.

Engines and Drive Train / re-power using a Beta 60 engine
« on: February 26, 2014, 11:11:37 am »
Has anyone installed a Beta 60 in their CSY 44 WT boats?  I would like to hear from anyone about doing a re-power with a Beta or a Yanmar.  I'm going to be replacing my 4-154 engine.  The WT models seem to be a lot harder to do a re-power on.

Systems / Original CSY Crosby Cold Plates
« on: February 25, 2014, 12:37:51 pm »
Dave'
Since you had the same system as we still have, the cold plates and the old single piston compressor, which are still working fantastic (coldest beer in town) how did you replace all the refrigerator and freezer internals.  Our only problem with the existing system is the amount of Amp Hours it takes every day to run it.  we only see about 2.5 to 3 hours a day in the compressor running time but the approx. 25 amp hours every hour it runs at 24 volts (never more than 15 minutes at a time) still is a great drain on our batteries.  I also would like to get ride of the noise this unit makes, but with the noise I know if it is working.  I'm afraid if I got a totally quiet system, Nancy and I would be constantly looking at it to see if it is working.  No more drive belts to change, and one less water pump to worry about would be nice also, as well as the amp hour drain difference.
