General Discussion / Jade in St. Pete..........

I was in St. Pete back in January, and after a visit to the Dali museum, saw a boat across the water named Jade? She was on an end tie or just inside of end. If the owner is active, or if any one is close and can take pics from dock or water, I'm interested in their cockpit enclosure. I liked the look from afar, but would like to see a little closer. Looked like aluminum framework, but will wait to see.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. Dream Ketcher are you by chance in a CSY 44 w/o? I'm assuming by your screen name probably not. Do you know what settings your diver finally ended up on for the "x" and "y"?

Engines and Drive Train / 4JH4-TE and Maxprop issue

I have a 6 year old Yanmar 4JH4-TE and a 24" Maxprop. I did bottom paint in the end of June and yard serviced Maxprop. Since then, I have had black transome soot mustache and seem to have lost some speed. Mechanic advised me that prop was over propped, so I called the yard and asked if they could check the settings and that maybe it didn't go on same as it came off. They agreed to. PYI, Maxprop's tech said with my engine and prop I should be pitched at 16 degrees. Mechanic swears I'm over propped and we should take to next setting which is 14 degrees. Has anyone had similar issue or same configuration that knows their settings? This is going to cost a yard haul and block now that they had it on the manufacturer's recommended setting.

Any ideas why else I might be blowing black smoke and losing a bit of power?

Hull and Rig / Cockpit Storage Dimensions Needed

Hi Bill, I just got back to this site for the first time in a long time as I'm finally changing my Crosby refer over to Frigoboat. I saw this post and coincidentally have just cut a piece of plywood and have been glassing over before ill coat with bright side hatteras off white and mount fiddles  on those 3 sides. I figure the cutout will live on underside of engine hatch or maybe under aft companionway ladder. This is the second piece of wood I cut as measurements were off first one. Do you have a direct email, I'll send pics and board measurements, and you can improve upon my simple design. I have lots of project stuff to upload to Dropbox, just need to get around to it.

Brett, I got here a bit late, so it sounds like your order may have been completed and shipped by now. Will you put me on new list and let me know when you'd like me to send check for 2 emblems?
